FREEDOM ENTERTAINMENT
MANAGEMENT GROUP
Formed in 1998 by a producer and writer team with excellent support from industry professionals, Freedom Entertainment Management Group has a very specific market.
Mission Statement: To create, produce and co-produce cost effective independent productions that introduce new talent and offer upbeat entertainment
Trendsetters is proud to be involved in the marketing of this independent film production company. A survey conducted by Trendsetters on the general viewing public from kids to parents and singles found that a vast majority, over 69%, wanted stories with high impact, uplifting, and contributing to enhance cultural values or enlightening to some degree while still entertaining. These kinds of projects are the hallmark of Freedom Entertainment.
Goals are attained by forming strategic alliances as well as funding our own projects.
Freedom Entertainment has five projects currently in development: from teen comedy, teen series, action adventure based upon a true story, to a drama based upon a true story, and an epic motion picture. All of these projects are original works, from the Freedom Entertainment team of writers.
The first script completed, trailer done and presentation made to investors was for a teen action/comedy called “Not Old Enough”. Target audience for this is 8 to 80, teens and parents with teens, to grandparents with teens love this story. Preview of the trailer produced excellent audience response.
STORY: Set in a school for the performing arts, a group of teens develop a computer model, with their ex-MIT computer genius/teacher, that resolves complex global issues. The powers-that-be want to steal the model, so the kids have to outsmart them & also throw a huge Fundraiser show to patent & save it. The kids are mostly not old enough to vote, drink or drive, & have the normal teen problems, but never-the-less, they’re ready to save the world. Dramatic, yet touching incidents with teens & some real bad guys doing everything they can to stop it, is counter-pointed against the comedy of trying to put on a great show. All hell breaks loose, but the show must go on!
The adults and teens cast are multi-talented---skilled in dancing and singing, as well as acting. A tour de force for some very talented newcomers as well as established talent.
OTHER PROJECTS: currently in development---
- TEENS, the series. Based upon Not Old Enough with the Computer model & the teens at the school for performing arts. 13 episodes written.
- ADAM: A MOTHER’S STORY (based on a true story)
- THE RELUCTANT MESSIAH - a large epic with a comic twist
- Untitled film based on true events with the Recon Marines
- NEPAL: Both a book & screenplay based on a true story
